Yes they can! However if a patient would like to change the terms of their PayPlan, they will need to contact you (they cannot do this online). However, the patient can update their credit card information through the Patient Experience portal.They will receive a notification in the message center that looks like the following:
This has one exceptions. If the patient is adding bills to their Payment Plan they will be able to also change the amount, frequency, and the date that the payment is taken. After this they can choose to update their payment information and then they will submit the update Payment Plan. Here is a screenshot of what this will look like for the patient:
If a patient cannot find this page, it can be reached by clicking the link in the Messaging Center that looks like this (Please note that if you allow patient's to modify Payment Plans, it will provide them with a link instead of a phone number):
